Every guide and tool on AndroidAnswers is free to use for your own phone and to help family and friends with theirs. You do not need an account.

General help, not professional repair

Our guides give general steps based on the phone makers’ own help pages. Phones differ by model, software version, and carrier, so a menu on your phone may look a little different. Please read each step before you do it, and back up your photos and contacts before anything that resets or erases the phone. If a step does not match your phone or you are unsure, stop and contact the phone maker or your carrier.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep every guide accurate and up to date, and we fix mistakes when readers report them. Even so, the site is provided as is, and we cannot promise that every step will work on every phone. To the extent the law allows, AndroidAnswers is not responsible for lost data, damage, or other problems that come from following a guide.

AndroidAnswers is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google, Samsung, Motorola, or any carrier. Android is a trademark of Google LLC. Other product names belong to their owners and are used only to explain how to use those products.

The words, images, and tools on this site belong to AndroidAnswers. You are welcome to link to any page or share a short quote with a link back. Please do not copy whole guides to another website.
