Editorial policy

AndroidAnswers exists to give plain, correct answers to everyday Android questions. This page explains how we pick topics, how we check our steps, and what to do if you spot a mistake.

How we choose questions

Each page answers one question that real people ask. We look at questions posted in public communities such as Reddit, at the questions people type into search engines, and at messages sent to us. We favor problems that come up again and again, especially ones that worry people who are less comfortable with technology.

How we check the steps

Before a guide is published, we compare every step with the official help pages from Google, Samsung, and other phone makers or app makers. Those pages are listed under “Sources we checked” on the guide. Menu names often differ by brand and Android version, so we note Samsung, Pixel, and standard Android paths when they differ.

We do not invent statistics, test results, or personal stories. If we are not sure a step works on most phones, we say so or leave it out.

Who writes and reviews

Guides are published by the AndroidAnswers Editorial Team. An editor on the team reviews each page before it goes live and whenever it is updated. The “Updated” date at the top of a guide shows the last time its content changed.

Community quotes

Some guides include a short “What people are saying” section. These are brief quotes from public discussions, credited to the poster’s public username and linked to the original thread. We only quote what helps explain the problem or a fix. We never include personal details, and we will remove a quote if the person who wrote it asks.

AI assistance

We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. A person on the editorial team reviews and edits every guide, and checks the steps against official sources, before it is published. We do not use AI to invent quotes, reviews, or experiences.

AndroidAnswers is not affiliated with Google, Samsung, or any phone maker. See our disclosure page for how we handle any app mentions.

Corrections

If a step is wrong, out of date, or does not match your phone, please contact us with the page address, your phone brand and model, and what you saw. We check every report, fix confirmed mistakes, and update the date on the page.
